Hello all, recently got the shallowtail for myself as a christms gift, i switched over to the .7mm needle and for some odd reason as im spraying it creates a blob on the end of the needle cap, which in turns is being splattered onto my projects. Im using tamiya acrylics, thinned down and using the retarder. Ive had iwata airbrushes before and have never experienced this
I hav've been using Tamiya and found that with the bigger tip I need to increase my working pressure to just about 20 psi from 18 psi. I've also started adding two or three more drops of retarder (mostly because my humidity is so low this time of year). This has given me good results so far.
@Mark Eisenbraun ok great thanks, i did put quite a few drops of the retarder, i dont really count how many drops of paint i put in, but i usually run around 25 psi, maybe thats another issue? So used to my iwata and the .28mm needle with it, .7mm is a beast
Did you swap the nozzle as well?
